What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a safe, natural and non-invasive complementary therapy. First records of its use date back to the Egyptians over 5000 years ago.

It is based on the principle that each reflex point on the foot relates to an organ, function a As the whole body is mapped out on the feet most conditions can be treated, and I have found Reflexology particularly helpful in treating hormonal issues, from teenagers going through puberty, to pregnancy and fertility and menopausal symptoms.

Pregnancy:

Reflexology is perfectly safe during pregnancy and can be extremely beneficial during 2nd and 3rd Trimesters aiding with many of the discomforts of pregnancy, from swollen feet, to back ache, and relaxing the body in preparation for birth. I am fertility trained and can work with women to support them through IVF or to aid in balancing the hormones to work on a natural route to pregnancy.  

What to expect during a treatment?

Reflexology is performed either sitting up or lying down on the massage couch, with your feet uncovered.  If for any reason you are unable to receive treatment on your feet, maybe due to an amputated foot, foot pain or sensitivity Reflexology can also be performed on the hands.

During the treatment I will work on both feet, first applying a refreshing spray to cleanse them, then applying Ollogii Peppermint Foot Cream. A series of soothing strokes will be performed initially to aid your relaxation, then various reflex points will be massaged and stimulated where you may experience various sensations in the body, tingling or simply being in a state of complete bliss.  During the treatment you may be asked to take some deep breaths to aid your relaxation further.
